十二、殘殺惡死
從前有一個縣長，平生愛吃鵝掌和活羊的心。
他吃鵝掌時，先將鵝關入鐵籠，然後放在鐵片上燒考。
鐵片下的火越來越大，鵝熬受不了，就驚恐的來回跳躍，悲鳴不已，縣長卻仍然無動於衷。鵝的腳掌因火熾熱，被燙得漸漸腫大，最後血都集中在掌上，它就割下鵝掌，再用火烹炮，其狀極慘。
他又常命下人，將羊繫栓於木頭上，令廚夫割斷羊胸肋骨，然後用手取出羊心烹煮，羊淒慘鳴叫，死狀甚慘，只為貪享一時口腹，竟，遭受如此酷刑而亡。
後來縣長身染惡瘡，醫藥無效，躺在床上，終日呻吟，折磨很久才死。
12. A Torturous Death for Killing Cruelly
Formerly, there was a magistrate who enjoyed eating goose feet and the hearts of live goats.
When he wanted to eat goose feet he would first put a goose in an iron cage. Then he would put the cage over a fire. The base of the cage would become red-hot and the poor goose would be jumping up and down and crying piteously. But the magistrate was not disturbed by that. Because of the heat, the feet would become swollen and the blood would rush to them. Then he would sever the feet and fry them. It was indeed a pitiful sight to see the goose under going such torture.
Besides that, he often ordered his servant to tie a goat to a stake and asked the cook to cut open the ribs of the goat alive. Then he would pull out the heart and cook it. The poor goat would cry and scream and would finally die a cruel death. Just to satisfy his palate, the magistrate tortured innocent beings before killing them.
Later, the magistrate fell sick and his body became covered with malignant sore which could not be cured by any medicine. He moaned day and night on his bed. Only after suffering greatly for a long time did he die.
