六、屈師縱鯉
屈師在元村地方，遇見漁夫拿著一條赤色鯉魚，要到市鎮去賣，鯉魚望見屈師，跳躍掙扎，似有求救之意，屈師心中不忍，便將它買來放入河中。
後來屈師生病，在病中夢見龍王邀請他到龍宮，並對他說：「先生本來壽命已盡，因救龍子一命，增延福壽十二年。」
屈師救鯉魚時年四十八歲，後來活到六十歲，子孫滿堂，無疾善終。
6. Qu Shi Liberated The Carp
Qu-shi was a man who once lived in Yuan-cun. One day he saw a fisherman carrying a live red carp. He was on his way to town to sell it. The carp looked sadly at Qu-shi and struggled piteously as if it was seeking his help. Mr. Qu was sad to see this and he bought the carp and freed it in the river.
Later, Mr. Qu fell sick and in a dream he was invited to the Dragon King’s palace. The King said, “You are supposed to die now but as you had saved my son before, your blessings and lifespan will be increased by twelve years.”
Qu-shi saved the carp when he was forty-eight years old. He lived until he was sixty before he passed away peacefully, leaving behind many descendants.
