出盆面約一尺多高，撲向曹升元的頸部，狠狠地咬了一口，鮮血淋漓，他痛得昏倒過去，令旁觀者目不忍睹。
曹升元被狗咬傷之後，遍尋名醫治療，奈何藥石無效，毫無起色。由於傷處潰爛，痛裂肺腑，他每天晝夜疼痛哀號，如此拖延了三個月才死。酷好狗肉者，得知此情，再也不敢貪食狗肉了。

One day, after slaughtering a dog, he soaked its body in a basin. When he was about to cut it, the dog suddenly leapt out of the basin and bit his neck. Blood poured out profusely and Mr. Cao fainted. All those around him were frightened by such a horrible sight.
After he was bitten by the dog, his wound became infected and no doctor was able to cure his illness.
The wound festered and he felt such great pain, it was as though his lungs and heart were being torn to pieces. He would moan from morning till night. Only after three months of this torture did he die. Those who enjoyed eating dog-meat were so frightened that they stopped doing so after witnessing such an incident.
