“Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva’s Enlightenment Day Dharma Service”
ABLS will celebrate Avalokiteshvara (Guanyin) Bodhisattva’s Enlightenment on August 2nd, 2020 (Sunday). Starting at 9 AM, there will be Liturgy of Guanyin Bodhisattva, with the assembly chanting the Avalokiteshvara Mantra (incantation), Heart Sutra,Universal Gate Sutra, and making light offering. Food offering ceremony will be conducted at noon. Starting again at 1:30 PM, participants will chant the Cundī Sutra, Cundī Mantra, followed by Eighty-Eight Buddha Repentance, and Meng Shan Food Bestowal Ceremony.
Meanwhile, to prevent the transmission of COVID-19 among religious communities, the Morning and Evening Chanting Liturgy, Sunday Dharma Services, Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva’s Enlightenment Day Dharma Service, and Ullambana Celebration Dharma Service (changed to One-Month Chanting Service) at ABLS will be closed to the public. Please Carry on the Dharma Practices at Home Simultaneously with the Masters here.

“Ullambana Celebration and Liang Huang Jeweled Repentance Dharma Service”
In response to the severe situation of COVID-19 pandemic, and to prevent the transmission of the virus among religious communities, the preplanned “2020 Ullambana Celebration and Liang Huang Jeweled Repentance Dharma Service” will be changed to a One-Month Intensive Practice, starting from 8/9 to 9/13 (on the last day of 9/13: Dedication of Merits & Burning Name Plates).
